About Me.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you who to be or what you should do, but to help you become more aware of what is happening within you, understand the patterns that may be getting in your way, and discover new ways of responding that feel more authentic and supportive.
For nearly 15 years, I have taught yoga and mindfulness, and for more than a decade I have worked as a coach and educator with adults and children, including individuals with diverse learning needs. These experiences have taught me the importance of meeting each person where they are, listening deeply, and creating an environment where people feel accepted and understood.
My counselling approach is grounded in Gestalt therapy and integrates somatic and mindfulness-based practices. This means that, alongside exploring thoughts and emotions, we may also pay attention to what is happening in your body, your nervous system, and your experience in the present moment. For some people, this can offer a different way of understanding experiences that are difficult to put into words.
I also draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and have specialized training in post-traumatic stress and working with first responder populations. I tailor our work to you rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Some clients benefit from practical tools and strategies; others need space to slow down and process what they have been carrying. Often, meaningful change involves both.
Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, or simply a desire to feel more grounded and connected to yourself, you don't have to figure it all out on your own.
My hope is that counselling becomes a place where you can be genuinely yourself, feel heard and understood, and gradually develop the awareness, skills, and self-trust to navigate life with greater ease and confidence.
